Beckham County
Fairs & Festivals
- Beckham County Free Fair: September 10–12 at the Beckham County Fairgrounds in Sayre. Features livestock shows, agricultural exhibits, 4-H competitions, and community judging.
Rodeos & Outdoor Events
- Sayre National Championship Rodeo: September 11–12 at the Sayre City Park Rodeo Arena. Gates open at 6:00 PM; rodeo starts at 7:00 PM with local food trucks and vendors. A boot-scootin’ rodeo dance and concert follows the Saturday night event at the adjacent park pavilion.
High School Sports
- Elk City Varsity Football: Friday, September 11, at Childress (Away) at 7:00 PM.
- Elk City High School Softball: September 10–12 competing in the McLoud Tournament (Away).
Community Meetings
- Elk City Lions Club: Meets every Thursday at noon at the Elk City Country Club.
Local Community Meetings & Recurring Activities
County Commissioner Meetings: Held on the first Monday of each month at the Beckham County Courthouse in Sayre.
Western Oklahoma Historical Society Flea Market
The Western Oklahoma Historical Society (WOHS) Route 66 Flea Market is an annual outdoor event in Elk City, Oklahoma. First organized in 1972 on the lawn of the Old Town Museum, it serves as the historical society’s primary fundraising event and takes place each year over the first full weekend of October.

- Concessions: Local food trucks and concession stands are stationed throughout the park during the event.
- Vendor Information: Booth spaces (typically 25 ft. wide by 20 ft. deep) are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis by the Western Oklahoma Historical Society committee. Elk City Fall Festival
The Annual Elk City Fall Festival is billed as the largest arts and crafts show in Western Oklahoma. Hosted by the Elk City Chamber of Commerce, the festival takes place every third weekend in September inside and outside the Elk City Convention Center.

High School Athletics (Week Ahead)

So the big event I see for this week is the free fair, and yeah, it may be a bit on the hot side it is always good for a fun time, and I encourage everyone to try to join the rest of the community and have a great time. With the rain we got on Thursday, we should be slightly cooler
